GREEN CICADA

“You say you are interested in finding a truly exceptional premium Tequila? Totally check out KAH “Day of the Dead” Tequila. Made with 100% Blue Weber Agave, all 4 expressions, from Blanco to Extra Añejo, deliver the highest grades of Aroma and smoothness. For this creamy cocktail I reached for the Blanco, because it’s peppery bite and agave forward tasting notes pair unexpectedly well with Melon and Mint, while also allowing for this beautiful, pastel green color. Delish!” @BarMaxLA

Recipe

2 oz KAH Blanco Tequila

1.5 oz Melon Liqueur

1.5 oz Heavy Whipping Cream

1 oz Creme De Menthe

4-5 dashes Rhubarb Bitters

Build

Hard shake. Double strain into a coupe. Garnish with Skeleton Leaves and / or fresh Herbs.

LA NINA

“Has everyone noticed all the beautiful citrus options winter brought us?I could actually smell the satsuma mandarins walking by them in the market and knew I had to make something. Although this is a simple cocktail, it goes to show for how seasonal ingredients can really make a cocktail b

It’s funny how the universe works because literally the next day after buying these Satsumas, I luckily landed some KAH to play around with. The Reposado was just what this cocktail needed with its caramel and vanilla notes and aged complexity balancing with the naturally sweet citrus. The Reposado also has some herbal notes shine through with help from the 10 months it was aged in French oak, so I used this for an opportunity to use my new dehydrator and make a savory salt to bring those notes forward.” @Annarosekrone

Recipe

2 oz KAH Reposado Tequila

1 oz Mandarin (season matters!)

.25 oz Lime

.5 oz Satsuma Syrup**

Garnish, Citrus fennel salt rim, mandarin leaf, Orange blossom water mist

**Sustainability side note: you can use the leftover scraps from juicing your mandarins to make this syrup!

HEMINGWAY IN JALISCO

“Tequila cocktail recipe time! I call this the " Hemingway In Jalisco." A marriage of the iconic Cuban Daiquiri with and flavorful Reposado Tequila. For this cocktail, I wanted a tequila with a rich flavor and KAH Tequila checked all the boxes.” @theyumyumfoodie

Recipe

2 oz of KAH Reposado Tequila

3/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice

1/2 oz Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice

1/2 oz Maraschino Liqueur

Build

Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds or until your hand is freezing. Strain the contents into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wheel and sip away

A BEAUTIFUL DEATH

First, the unforgettable bottle design made it a welcome visual addition to my home bar and I was excited to get inside and see what the spirit held in store.  A lot of times brands spend a disproportionate amount of budget on packaging to "woo" buyers without spending the same care and time on the spirit itself. I can happily say that KAH puts out a tequila that matches the beauty of its bottle. I'm very, very happy with this product. Here's a simple and fun recipe I put together using KAH's Blanco tequila.” @ice_and_alchemy

Recipe

1.5 oz KAH Blanco Tequila

.5 oz London Dry style gin

1 oz lime juice

.5 oz licor 43 (vanilla-orange liqueur)

.5 oz sage simple syrup

Shake and strain into a glass of your choice, iced or without ice, and garnish with what makes you smile -- express yourself 💥

Last but not least, here is a deliciously frothy cocktail from @cocktailswcrystal, made with sweet pineapple cordial, zesty lime, triple sec, and a creamy egg white finish.

Recipe

1.5 KAH Blanco Tequila

3/4 Pineapple Cordial

3/4 Lime

1/2 Triple Sec

Egg white

Whether you're sipping on a classic margarita or trying out a new tequila-based cocktail, may your Cinco de Mayo be filled with joy, laughter, and good times. ¡Salud!
