Kiku, do you love me?!? Are you drinking?
Congrats to @the.cocktail.bandit on making the Top 16 @bacardi.legacy for his @lets_have_a_kiku. Taylor is out hustling, so you will see this drink popping up everywhere!
What does the Kiku symbolize?
The KIKU combines my passion and love for my family all while bringing to the table a unique cocktail experience with a lot of meaning. KIKU represents overcoming obstacles and keeping family heritages alive as well as self expression.
Why Kiku?
When coming up with the name for my Bacardi Legacy 2020 Cocktail, one word came to mind, KIKU. KIKU in Japanese means Chrysanthemum, which is a flower found on my family’s crest, and also on important items in my family such as my grandmother’s kimono. In the Japanese culture it symbolizes longevity and rejuvenation, and has held an important role in many generations of my mother’s family. As you can see in my logo it has an intentional close resemblance to the Bacardi logo. Just like the bat symbolizes the Bacardi family, the Kiku represents mine.
