"El Sabor de México" at Dante Beverly Hills with Casa Dragones
All February long, we are celebrating "El Sabor de México" at Dante Beverly Hills with Casa Dragones, to bring an authentically Mexican experience to Los Angeles by teaming up with some of Mexico’s top bars and restaurants for a month-long activation at Dante Beverly Hills.
Each week, two team members from each bar will join us at Dante Beverly Hills to hold a three-day residency (Monday - Wednesday from 2pm - 5pm), serving up a selection of their signature cocktails, using one of Casa Dragones’ unique tequila expressions – Casa Dragones Añejo Barrel Blend, Casa Dragones Reposado Mizunara, and Casa Dragones Blanco - and/or small bites. Live mariachi will play and festive touches will be present throughout the restaurant to celebrate these hospitality greats from Mexico.
A portion from every offering will be donated to No Us Without You LA, a Los Angeles-based non-profit started by two local industry veterans that provides food security, free of charge, to the city’s underserved communities - specifically, undocumented workers in the hospitality industry.

In recent years, Mexico’s cocktail culture has gained global recognition for its celebration of rich local heritage and honoring of indigenous flavor. This increasing notoriety has been reflected by the 50 Best Bars lists (both World’s 50 Best & North America’s 50 Best). In Mexico City, four bars (the four bars that will join Dante for “El Sabor de México”) are currently featured on the list - more than New York City’s three bars, and rivaling London’s five bars. (Los Angeles does not currently hold any spots on the list, which makes this opportunity to bring some of the world’s best bars and bartenders to the city that much more special.)
This series also serves as a reunion for Dante and the bartending teams at Licorería Limantour and Handshake Speakeasy, as these World’s 50 Best Bar honorees all popped up behind The Obsidian Bar at La Casa Dragones, the award-winning luxury private home of Tequila Casa Dragones in San Miguel de Allende, in May 2023.
Given the city's history, proximity to the country, and population of Mexican-Americans, Los Angeles culture and Mexican culture go hand-in-hand. Mexican culture has influenced nearly all ways of Angeleno life, including its drinking culture (LA is the biggest consumer of tequila and mezcal in the US).
