The Syrup: Lorgeat

@lorgeat is an all-natural, hand-crafted liqueur made with authentic toasted California almonds blended with notes of fresh-bloomed flowers. Its recipe is based on the famous orgeat syrup and much like its creators, it was born in California and brought to life in Brooklyn, NY.

The original orgeat is a classic syrup commonly used in tiki recipes all over the world. It adds a certain viscosity to cocktails while leaving a subtle almond taste to the drink. It's a key ingredient to the Mai Tai for example, although many recipes will skip it due to lack of availability in the marketplace and short shelf life of the syrup.

The Drink: Reez Nuts

• 2-3 muddled raspberries

• 1 1/2 oz white rum

• 1/4 oz Averna

• 1/2on L’Orgeat

• 3/4 Lemon juice
